SEO

We need access to Google Analytics because it provides critical data on traffic sources, user behavior, conversions, and existing performance trends. This information allows us to identify issues, measure effectiveness, and make data-driven SEO recommendations. If a client is unable or unwilling to provide access, it may limit the accuracy and effectiveness of the SEO audit.

Web Hosting Migration

Transferring a website to Webstix hosting means securely moving the existing website files and database from the current hosting provider to the Webstix server environment while keeping the website intact. The design and content remain the same, only the hosting provider changes.

To begin the process, Webstix requires:

  • Web Hosting Control Panel Login: Access to the current hosting server environment.
  • CMS Admin Login: Administrative access to the website backend (e.g., WordPress admin credentials).
  • DNS Hosting Login: Access to the domain name registrar and DNS management account

These credentials allow the team to safely migrate the website and configure the domain correctly.

Ideally, yes, the client should own their domain or have access to the account where it is registered. If a previous vendor controls the domain or DNS, Webstix will guide the client through creating their own account and transferring ownership to their account.

No. The website is first migrated to a staging environment (a private copy on the new server) and fully tested before the domain is pointed to the new hosting. This approach minimizes or eliminates downtime.

For security and stability, the website must meet minimum standards before migration. This may include updating:

  • PHP version
  • WordPress core
  • Plugins and themes

If updates are required, additional charges may apply depending on the scope of work.

If direct DNS access cannot be provided, Webstix will supply clear instructions for the required DNS updates. The client or their current provider will then need to apply those changes in their DNS account.

If a previous vendor controls the domain or DNS, the client will need to:

  • Create their own domain registrar account
  • Transfer domain ownership to their account
  • Share access with Webstix

Webstix will guide the process and coordinate with the vendor if needed.

The timeline depends on several factors, including:

  • How quickly access is provided to the web hosting control panel and CMS.
  • Whether the website needs to be brought up to date
  • DNS access availability
  • Previous vendor cooperation

Simple transfers can be completed quickly, while vendor-controlled environments may take longer.

Once migration is complete:

  • Webstix confirms the site is fully functional on the new server
  • The client is notified that the transfer is complete
  • The client can then cancel their hosting subscription with their previous hosting provider.

No. The client is responsible for canceling their previous hosting service and stopping any billing once the migration is confirmed complete.

In most cases, email remains unaffected if it is hosted separately (such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365). If email is tied to the hosting server, Webstix will review and coordinate the transition to prevent disruption.

Yes. Webstix follows a secure migration process that includes staging deployment, testing, and validation before making the website live on the new server.

Older websites may require updates or repairs before migration. In some cases, a redesign may be recommended if the website cannot be safely upgraded.

Website Maintenance

Website maintenance involves updates, fixes, or improvements to a client’s website. This can include content updates, troubleshooting, performance improvements, and technical adjustments, depending on the client’s needs.

Common maintenance requests include:

  • Content updates (text, images, pages)
  • Design adjustments
  • Bug fixes and troubleshooting
  • Performance improvements
  • Technical updates
  • Feature enhancements

The scope can vary depending on the client’s needs.

You can send an email to support@webstix.com with a description of your website requirements. Our team will create a support ticket based on your request and will follow up with you through the ticketing platform regarding the next steps and any information needed to begin the updates.

To begin maintenance, Webstix requires administrative access to the website backend. This includes:

  • CMS login credentials (such as WordPress admin)
  • Web hosting control panel login (if the requested updates require work on the server)

Note: cPanel or hosting access is only required when the requested work involves server-level tasks (Example: Page speed optimization, PHP upgrades, Software updates, etc.). If maintenance only involves content or design updates, CMS access alone is typically sufficient.

Webstix sends a secure form where clients can safely submit their login credentials. This ensures sensitive information is handled securely during onboarding. Here are the links each Mid-West Family market can use to collect access credentials from a client:

Webstix verifies if we were able to log in successfully and provides an estimate for the requested work. If our team has any questions regarding the requested work, we’ll convey them at this time.

Maintenance work is managed and billed through Maintenance Blocks. We maintain a separate block account for each Mid-West Family market, where we log and track client-specific work for that market. Blocks are deducted according to the scope and time taken to complete the work.

Yes, Webstix can perform website updates for sites built on other platforms.

No. We can help with maintenance and updates to websites, even if they are hosted by other providers, provided the required access is available.

Once work is finished, an overview of the work done is provided to the client, and maintenance blocks are deducted from the corresponding MWF block account based on the work performed. The ticket opened for the request is closed

Website Design & Redesign

You can submit a request for a Website Redesign Proposal (for a brand-new website) or a Website Audit (for updates to an existing website) by filling out the appropriate form in the link below:

We typically review the request and provide a proposal within 3–5 working days after submission.

Once the proposal is approved and we’re given the official confirmation to get started, the project process will depend on whether the website is being built in WordPress or React.js. A member of our project team will reach out to you and explain the next steps.

Webstix creates a dedicated project in our portal where all stakeholders are added. This central location is used to share updates, request information, and track progress throughout the project.

The questionnaire defines critical elements such as homepage messaging, tone of voice, page structure, and conversion strategy. Incomplete responses can delay the build process.

6. For a React.js website redesign, where can we review the website before launch?

The website is first built on a secure staging server and shared through a review tool called Markup.io. This allows sales reps or the client to view the site and leave comments directly on the website’s pages during the design phase.

Feedback is submitted through Markup.io comments. We recommend consolidating client feedback before submission to minimize revision cycles and speed up the process.

A project is considered complete after the website is successfully launched on the live environment, and stakeholders are notified of completion.

If your new website requires any third-party plugins, themes, or tools, we typically ask that you purchase them directly. This ensures you have full ownership and control over the licenses, payments, and renewals. Once purchased, you can securely share the login or license details with us, and we’ll handle the setup, configuration, and integration on your website.

Webstix will bill MWF on a monthly basis. The total estimated cost of a project will be divided into 2, 3, or 5 installments, depending on the overall amount, and invoiced on the 1st of each month.

The final installment will be adjusted based on the actual project completion time to reflect the exact hours worked.
